How to Encounter Spamton NEO

To challenge Spamton's ultimate form, you need to complete a series of prerequisite tasks. The method differs depending on your game route.

Normal Route

1. First, find and defeat Spamton in the Cyber City's trash zone (must be done pacifist-style by repeatedly selecting `Deal`-related options).
2. After winning, he will direct you to his shop. Inside, accept his request to find an EmptyDisk in the Queen's Mansion basement.
3. Purchase the KeyGen from Spamton to access the basement. Retrieve the EmptyDisk from an old machine deep within the basement.
4. Return to Spamton's shop and give him the EmptyDisk. He will load himself onto it, turning it into a LoadedDisk.
5. Go back to the Queen's Mansion basement and insert the LoadedDisk into the machine. Spamton NEO will make his grand entrance!

Snowgrave Route

On this route, things are much simpler: Spamton NEO becomes the final boss of the chapter, and you cannot avoid him. You will confront him at the top of the Queen's Mansion.

Pre-Battle Preparations

Recommended Armor

• Puppet Scarf: Reward for defeating Spamton NEO violently. An excellent choice for a second playthrough.
• Dealmaker: Reward for defeating Spamton NEO peacefully. Also a great item for a subsequent playthrough.
• Frayed Bowtie: Purchased from Spamton's shop, provides a minor defense boost against certain attacks.

Recommended Items

Stock up on healing items. Darkburgers and CD Bagels are good choices. The party's TP is also crucial, especially on the pacifist route.

Battle Strategy

Core Mechanic: Yellow SOUL

Upon entering the battle, your SOUL will turn yellow, allowing you to shoot bullets. Hold down the fire button to charge up and release a powerful 'BIG SHOT'. This is the primary means of damaging the boss or clearing obstacles.

Sparing Strategy

The goal of the pacifist route is to cut all the strings controlling Spamton NEO. You'll need to use ACT commands repeatedly.

• Kris: Primarily use the Snap command, which increases Mercy by 2% each time. When the party's TP reaches 100%, use Snap All for a 7% boost!
• Susie: Use her unique S-Action (Supercharge) to significantly reduce your charge shot time.
• Ralsei: Use the R-Action (FluffyGuard), which summons two shields around your SOUL that can block bullets. He is also the primary healer.

When Mercy reaches 100%, the battle is won. You will receive the Dealmaker armor and a Shadow Crystal.

Fighting Strategy

The violent route is much more straightforward: attack relentlessly. Use the Yellow SOUL's charge shot to damage Spamton NEO. Prioritize destroying some of his attack projectiles (like his face) to reduce the threat. When his HP drops to 0, you win. You will receive the Puppet Scarf armor and a Shadow Crystal.

Key Attacks & How to Dodge (GIFs)

Flying Heads

Spamton launches his own head at you. These heads can be destroyed with your bullets. Prioritize clearing them, or they will continuously fire sub-projectiles.

Chained Heart

Spamton's core, attached to a chain, bounces around the screen firing numerous bullets. Focusing your fire on the heart can end this attack wave early and increases Mercy in the pacifist route.

A Call For You (Pipis)

He fires blue Pipis (a type of clam). When these hit the edge of the screen, they explode, releasing a barrage of high-speed mini Spamton heads. Destroy them with your bullets before they hit the edge!

Power of NEO

As the battle nears its end, he uses his ultimate attack. A giant Spamton NEO appears on the right side of the screen, sucking in bullets and firing massive face-shaped cannons. Concentrate your fire on his face to end this phase quickly.
